As Chair of the Energy & Environment Committee, Ann was instrumental in the passage of the nation-leading Climate and Equitable Jobs Act, moving us toward a 100% renewable energy future.
Reproductive Healthcare
An unwavering champion of reproductive rights, Ann has fought for years to make Illinois a 100% pro-choice state. A member of the Reproductive Healthcare working group, she continues working to increase access to reproductive healthcare across the board and ensure abortion remains safe and legal in Illinois.
LGBTQ+ Equality
All Illinoisans deserve to be treated with respect and dignity and are entitled to be treated equally under the law. Ann has and will continue push to ensure our laws reflect these values and ideals.
Gun Violence Prevention
Ann has worked collaboratively with officials at all levels of government on gun violence prevention, including passing an assault weapons ban for the first time in Illinois’ history. She has also worked to increase the use of technology for law enforcement and pushed for additional resources for violence prevention.
Ethics and Accountability
Ann led the charge to bring a new era in leadership to the Illinois House for the first time in decades, electing a new Speaker of the House, voting to enact term limits for legislative leaders and passing comprehensive and common-sense ethics legislation.
